Cavani On His Way To Stamford Bridge?

“Come and get me”

Italian media company “Mediaset” has breaking news today that Chelsea and Napoli have agreed a fee for the highly sought-after striker in the range of €58 million.  The Uruguayan has been heavily linked with a number of large European squads over the last year as he has been on a goal scoring tear in Serie A, most notably linked to Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho seems to be wasting no time in making his stamp on the transfer market with Chelsea, as he has been known to do.  It’s no secret that Roman Abramovich is willing to splash cash left and right at whatever name is hottest on the market, so this comes as no surprise.  It’s a ridiculous fee, €58 million, but the striker has proven to be a force, albeit it with a mid-tier Italian club.   Chelsea and the EPL are another level.  So if this turns out to be true, it’ll be interesting to see if Chelski waste another  €50+ million on a striker       (see: you know god damn well who I’m referring to).
