Man United Unveil New Home Kit; Liverpool Their Away Kit

Not only is the summer the season of transfers and rumour mongering, but it’s time for clubs to earn millions of dollars/pounds sterling/euros in kit revenue.  Each year clubs release brand new home, away, and alternate kits so everyone can re-up on their kit closet and get the freshest look.

That time has come for a couple of North West England clubs as Man United have unveiled their new home kit and Liverpool have released their away kit for the 2013/14 season. We’ve chronicled the leaking of a few of the top European club kits here before, but now the official releases are coming out so we’ll see if you indeed did hear it here first.

First up, the Manchester United home kit.  Simple.  To the point.  Red, white, and black. It’s got the black button up collar to give it bit of a polo shirt look.  It’s nothing crazy, but then again home kits are never too extravagant.

Liverpool, on the other hand, have gone the exact opposite direction of simple and classic.  Extravagant would be one word that comes to mind when viewing the new ‘Pool away kit, horribly-vomit-inducing-disgusting might be another.  Warrior are the American based company that provides the kits to Liverpool these days.  Starting out as a LACROSSE equipment provider, they don’t really have much of a background in footy aaaaand it shows.  These things are hideous and the memes are already rolling in.
