The Bale-to-Real Madrid Rumours Gain Momentum; Also Suarez

Real Madrid has to be the most obnoxious team in terms of transfer window moves. They’re locker room is a constant revolving door of superstars, washed up or in their prime.  I’m pretty sure they only care about selling shirts at this point.  So their latest bid to lure Gareth Bale out of the Premier League and into La Liga is just another god damn story line we have to keep hearing about over and over again.

Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez, who is up for re-election as team president soon (which I’m sure is a totally legit election), is pretty hot on the tails of the Welsh international going as far as saying “he was born to play for Real Madrid.”  I mean, other than not being born in Spain, not speaking Spanish, and growing up through the ranks of English football, yeah he was totally born to play for Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants are prepared for a sensational swoop for the winger, with the player’s own agent saying he would be willing to listen to offers.  He is still young, so perhaps a move to Real Madrid right now would totally ruin his career.  But can you name any other young British player to make the move to Real Madrid and have it be great for their personal career?  I’m sure he’d fit right in with that hodge-podge group of mercenaries.

In other obnoxious Real Madrid transfer news, Luis Suarez has been thrown into the mix for a move to Los Blancos.  This one I am much more interested in believing and sort of hope it happens.  Man United-Liverpool bias aside, Luis Suarez is a complete maniac and becoming a bad name for the EPL.  He has put fuel to the fire of his move out of Liverpool recently claiming it has been a bad year for him and his family this year, mainly blaming the English media for singling him out.  MAYBE STOP BEING RACIST AND BITING PEOPLE.  That might get some of the heat off you.  Maniac.

Not to mention Real Madrid is a mecca for Spanish speaking players.  I guess I get it, they’ve got a lot of history and other than Barcelona, who sort of have their own agenda, there is no other big Spanish club.  It is believed that Liverpool have a £40 million buyout clause for his services, but I’m pretty sure money ain’t a thang for Real.
