As we covered here in the past (a number of times), there are constant rumours of where and when Wayne Rooney will be making his departure from Manchester United, and to which big European club. Well, it seems all but a done deal that Rooney will be earning his £250,000 a week in Paris next year.
Rooney has been unsettled a few times in his career at United, mostly coming from disagreements with the boss, Sir Alex Ferguson. And everyone knows you don’t cross SAF at Old Trafford, no one is bigger than the boss and no one is bigger than the club, doesn’t matter how good you are. Just look at Becks for that one. His head became a little bit too big for the confines of Old Trafford, so he was sold off to Madrid at just about the peak of his career. And now Rooney is just about at the peak of his career and he is getting fed up with his lack of playing time and position change to more of a midfield role. RVP may have had something to do with that. So it seems more than likely now that Rooney will be sold this summer, even with the departure of SAF (not that he’s got a great relationship with Moyes). Have fun getting kicked in the head by Ibrahimovic!
That man is an absolute nutcase. But I digress. Rooney seems to be on his way out and quite frankly I don’t give a shit. Fuck off Rooney. We’ve had enough of your me-first attitude and it doesn’t fit in at a club like United. Again, no one is bigger than the team and this just further proves that. It would’ve been nice to see him accept his role, contribute to the team how can, and still be a key contributor and still be one of the best players in Europe, even if it was in the relative shadow of RVP. Become a life long United player and go down as one of the greatest players in club history. But nah, fuck that shit I guess. Go play in the French League for the latest oil-rich European team. There’s a lot of honor in that. Just the latest team of mercenaries looking for a big pay check.
So, whatever Rooney. Enjoy mediocrity the rest of your career. Oh, and enjoy French people too, I hear they’re the best. At least you’ve got Joey Barton to keep you company.
