Top of the Table/Bottom of the Table Roundup

It was a bit of a slow week last week here at CotW’s Boston area operating base.  If you’ve been living in space, Boston’s had a bit of a rough week and that resulted in my attention being elsewhere.  But we got him!

So back to footy we go!  Apparently that malnourished little shit was a footy fan himself, so hopefully he’ll get to enjoy none of this or any footy for the next year or two while he rots on death row.  But I digress: We’ve had a pretty big weekend in the EPL and the final shape of the table is starting to come together.

Reading and QPR appear to be destined for relegation.  Both teams lost this weekend and both sit 10 points away from any type of safety, sooooo see ya in the doldrums of the Championship next year.

Arsenal scraped by Fulham in the battle of 10 men and now seem to have confirmed a place in the top 4 and Champions League action next year, so their run of consistent mediocrity continues.

They will have to hold off Chelsea and Tottenham who are fighting for the 4th and final spot in the Champions League qualification.  Tottenham took a big step forward to that spot with an incredible come back at White Hart lane, scoring 3 goals in 6 minutes and 22 seconds.  Bale with a cheeky finish to get the third:

That loss all but ends any faint hopes City might have had of retaining their title, and Manchester United can lock up the 20th league title this evening against Aston Villa.
