Weekend’s FA Cup Review

The FA Cup.   Love it or hate, it is a time old tradition in English football that gives the David’s a chance to take down the Goliath’s.  Every year there is some no name lower tier side coming from east bumble-fuck England that takes down a top premier league team.  This year we’ve seen the likes of Oldham Athletic, Huddersfield Town, Luton Town (the real Cinderella this year), MK Dons, Brentford and Millwall all make somewhat surprising pushes to the later rounds of the Cup.  Round 5 saw a few Championship side and League One side clubs take on each other and top tier clubs.  Let’s review the action.

Saturday, Feb. 16th

Round 5: Oldham Athletic 2 – 2 Everton

Round 5: MK Dons 1 – 3 Barnsley

Round 5: Arsenal 0 – 1 Blackburn Rovers

Round 5: Luton Town 0 – 3 Millwall    😦

Sunday, Feb. 17th

Round 5: Huddersfield Town 1 – 4 Wigan Atheltic

Round 5: Manchester City 4 – 0 Leeds United

Round 4 (replay): Chelsea 4 – 0 Brentford

Monday, Feb. 18th

Round 5: Manchester United 2 – 1 Reading

Everton and Oldham Athletic still have to play their Round 5 replay, and Middlesbrough and Chelsea will face off to see who will visit Old Trafford to face Manchester United in Round 6.
